A celebration of Mervyn Fields' life

FIELDS, Mervyn John

It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of Mervyn. Mervyn passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at Scunthorpe General Hospital on Saturday 13th April 2024 surrounded by his loving family, aged 64.  Born, bred and living his whole life in Epworth, Mervyn was the beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Daniel and Hannah and father-in-law of Ben, cherished son of Margaret and the late Harold, caring brother of Nigel and Stephen, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle and friend to many.   Mervyn will be greatly missed by all those who knew him, in the local community, local farming circles and as a past member of staff at South Axholme School.  A funeral service to celebrate Mervyn’s life will be held at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, Epworth on Wednesday 1st May at 2pm, followed by interment in Epworth Cemetery.  Family flowers only please, but donations in memory of Mervyn will be in aid of the Dialysis Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
